What You Need
Don't own any gear yet? That's totally fine — here's what I bring and what you should bring.
I'll Provide
- Fishing rod & reel (beginner-friendly setup)
- Hooks, sinkers, and floats
- Bait for the session
- Basic tackle box tools (pliers, line cutter)
- Step-by-step teaching on knots & casting
Please Bring
- Comfortable outdoor clothing you don't mind getting a little dirty
- Closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops on jetties/rocks)
- Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Water bottle & a small snack
- A change of clothes/towel, just in case
Optional Extras
- Your own rod & reel, if you have one and want practice with your own gear
- A small cooler bag if you'd like to keep any catch
- A camera or phone for photos of your first catch!
Already have your own rod?
Bring it along! I'm happy to teach using your own gear so you get comfortable with the setup you'll actually be using at home. Just mention it when booking so I can plan the lesson accordingly.
